Annual Lake Lure New Years Day Polar Plunge!

The Chamber of Hickory Nut Gorge announces its 10th Annual New Year’s Day Polar Plunge at the public beach in Lake Lure, North Carolina.
The Plunge will begin at 12 noon. Cash prizes for best costume and other categories, including oldest and youngest plunger, as well as longest distance traveled.
In Celebration of the 10th Anniversary, a custom designed Commemorative Medal will be given to each plunger. Proceeds from this event benefit The Chamber of Hickory Nut Gorge and Hickory Nut Gorge First Responders.
